The vision of designers frequently amazes me. This is one. Perhaps this is what you see after one too many?
The pace of baseball is perfectly matched for summer.
We’re enjoying a quiet moment at a nice cafe in downtown Indiana, PA, called “Amadeus.” It’s fittingly decorated anti-corporate and has the low hum of a library. The owners, William and Andrea Szep, do a lovely job with coffee from their twin, old-fashioned 1 lb roaster. Such places as this are off the map but well worth the discovering.
… setting up a La Marzocco GS3 on the kitchen counter flanked by a Mazzer grinder and a big bag of exquisite post-roast blend espresso. To bad it has to travel and be put to work in catering. We’ll miss it those days.
Glenn Beck is a devious left wing extremist planted years ago by his hippie biological father, Eugene McCarthy, to rant uncontrollably on Fox News and, ultimately, marginalized the entire conservative movement as being crazy.

Ronald Reagan, addressing U.N. on June 19, 1982:
I speak today as both a citizen of the United States and of the world. … My people have sent me here today to speak for them as citizens of the world, which they truly are, for we Americans are drawn from every nationality represented in this chamber today.
Newt Gingrich addressing GOP on June 8, 2009:

On Facebook, MySpace, Linked In, are we coming to know people more by their syntax than their faces? Renee Gleeson takes three minutes on this topic. Read the comments and ignore the first “I already knew this” response.
Negotiations with the pirates failed. The resulting broadside was inevitable.

Sure, we know that money can’t buy you love. And, it won’t necessarily bring you happiness either
Ken Dychtwald Ph.D., psychologist, gerontologist and author, writes today about the growing body of global research on happiness. Citing World Database of Happiness statistics, Dychtwald notes:
Guatemalans have the same happiness score as Canadians, although their income is only one-eighth as much. What does tend to reliably correlate with happiness is the quality of relationships with family and friends and a personal sense of belonging to one’s community.
Apparently weather has little to do with happiness either as Iceland ranks #5 to the US #17.
